Turf grass is one of the only plants in our landscaping that we walk on. As a result, the soil turf underneath becomes hard-compacted. To provide the soil with more air and water, lawn aeration shoes may be used. This cheaply priced tool is a great asset for "done in one noon" scale garden jobs. Lawn aerator shoes is a garden tool suitable for small-size lawn or yard aeration work. There is a rumor that lawn aerator shoes are not very effective. However, this really depends on how much of a soil air problem you have and the solution will require a different type of tool in each case. Considering you step on your lawn often (while watering or mowing it, or when your kids play in the lawn in the summer) lawn aerating shoes may not be of great help. If, on the other hand, the soil underneath your lawn is not very compact, the shoes can be used while mowing the lawn, since you would be stepping on it anyway.
